Isle of Man esports organization X7 Esports is kicking off the new year with a team bootcamp that brings together the new X7 League of Legends player roster and staff.

Bootcamp will start at the University of Roehampton in London in January 2022 and X7 will be following the latest Covid guidelines – Esports News UK hopes to visit and interview some of the players.

X7 has teamed up with Verbatim’s own gaming peripherals brand, SureFire, for the boot camp.

In a press release today, X7 said, “In partnership with the University of Roehampton, the Bootcamp will allow us to produce a lot of behind-the-scenes content, host interviews with special guests (to be announced in due course) and ultimately provide the organization with the Opportunity to meet in person for the first time.

“SureFire will provide peripherals to the team and will also be physically present during our special event towards the end of the bootcamp, where they will showcase their products and hold giveaways with attendees.”

This event includes a meet and greet with the X7 players and a series of in-game tournaments between the X7 team and members of the public. More details about this day will be announced in the new year.

“In collaboration with the University of Roehampton, the Bootcamp will allow us to produce a lot of behind-the-scenes content, hold interviews with special guests and give the organization the opportunity to meet in person for the first time.”

X7 added, “Like X7, SureFire is viewed in its early stages of growth. With our audience spread across Europe, we believe SureFire is a great fit for the brand as their products are built to last and be great value for money.

“This makes them easily accessible and attractive to a far wider range of gaming enthusiasts from across the continent. We will use the SureFire branding on our jerseys, which were created exclusively for the bootcamp in January, and in all of the content we produce there. “

X7 will play in Division 1 of the Spring 2022 NLC, the European Regional League (ERL) for Great Britain, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Their first team line-up includes the German top laner Jaeger, the South Korean imports Haru and Tempt (jungle and middle), the Danish ADC Nata and the British support player Kasing.

X7 made waves in the UK League of Legends this year after taking over the other Orgs Bulldog and Absolved and receiving a one-time esports sponsorship from the Isle of Man government for UKEL.

While there is no ongoing funding from the Isle of Man government, X7 has other investors.
