“Why Is Tom Brady Out?”: NFL Fans Can’t Figure Out Why Brady Was Benched Against The Falcons

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a rollercoaster of a season. Although they have lost a few encounters in brutal fashion, they have managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat on a few occasions as well.

The man who has played a massive role in orchestrating those wins is Tom Brady. The GOAT has undoubtedly struggled to get going on a few occasions, however, on his day, the Tampa Bay superstar has single-handedly managed to win games for his unit.

With really nothing substantial on the line as the Bucs have already booked a berth in the playoffs, it was expected that they will rest Tom in the week 18 clash against the Atlanta Falcons.

However, Tom had made it absolutely clear before the game that he is definitely going to play against Atlanta. The Bucs are looking to go into the playoffs with winning momentum so this decision actually made sense.

Tom Brady was benched against the Falcons and NFL fans want to know why

However, NFL fans were left wildered when Tom was benched before the end of the second quarter against the Falcons. Actually, after the star QB had broken two major records in the game, it made sense to give him some rest.

He wasn’t hurt as many are thinking, he was called back so that he doesn’t sustain any injury during an encounter where there isn’t much to gain for the team from Tampa Bay.

As far as the records broken by Tom are concerned, he needed just 9 more passes to break Matthew Stafford’s record for most pass attempts in a season. Moreover, he needed nine passes to break his own record for most completions in a season as well.

As expected, Brady ended up breaking both the records after which, giving a chance to Blaine Gabbert was the right thing to do. However, fans had their own theories after Brady was benched.

For 84 yards, Tom scored one touchdown before getting called back. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the playoffs.
