In the midst of his incredible campaign, Lonzo Ball reveals why he picks Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan as the favorite to win the MVP award.
Early this summer DeMar DeRozan was grossly disregarded by executives and scouts across the league when they chose his signing as the worst off-season move. Not many analysts and enthusiasts were convinced that the DeMar acquisition would be a beneficial move for the Bulls franchise. Not only did people question his skills, but they also doubted how well he would be a match for Zach LaVine.
And at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season, Deebo proved its doubters otherwise and played at an incredibly sensational level. Aside from being one of the most elite players this year, the 4-time All-Star was the most clutch player in the league who recently also knocked down jaw-dropping game winners in a row.

“DeMar DeRozan shows everyone that he should definitely be an MVP this year”: Lonzo Ball
To Nikola Vucevic gave his opinion on DeRozan lifting the Maurice Podoloff Trophy, Lonzo also revealed why DeMar’s performance so far this season makes him an MVP favorite. Before the Bulls Magic tip, Zo said:
“DeMar has long been a star in this league and I think this is probably his best year for me,” Ball told reporters after the shooting on Monday morning. “He’s showing everyone that he should definitely be an MVP this year.”
The eldest Ball brother went on to explain how the team felt comfortable with the 6-foot-6 guard having the stone in his hands during the clutch situations.
“He is our contact person. We always trust him when he has the ball in his hand, and as you can see he comes through for us almost every time, “said Ball.” And he gives everyone this calm manner and helps everyone to sail the ship there, where it should go. “
