Valorant is hands down one of the most popular modern day competitive FPS titles around the world. With a player count in the millions, the shooter has grown steadily since its first release on June 2, 2020. Of course, this would not be possible without the game’s developers, who have constantly worked to make Valorant what it is today.
Unfortunately, one of the most prominent faces on the Valorant development team, Joe Ziegler, has left the Valorant team to work on a new project.
In one recently Notice On December 30th, Ziegler confirmed that he will no longer be part of the Valorant development team.
“With a heart full of gratitude and excitement, I come to you today with news,” he said in the blog post. “After 8 years of work on VALORANT, which I built from the ground up with a team of dedicated and passionate developers who have worked tirelessly to serve you all with the respect and admiration you deserve, I am giving the game the title Director of the VALORANT tak shooter to my good friend Andy Ho. “
“Andy is someone I can proudly say that he has invested in VALORANT for many years and whose personal commitment to meet the highest standards inspires everyone who work with him. He has my full confidence and my full confidence that he will continue to grow and develop VALORANT year after year in order to become even better than I could imagine. “
Then Ziegler explained his plans for the future. “As far as I’m concerned, I’ll start something new (* wink, secrets …) in the hope that we can only scratch the surface of the amazing effect that VALORANT has already had.”
While Ziegler’s separation from the Valorant team is certainly sad, we’re also looking forward to seeing his next project and how it turns out.
