After more than a year since the Early Access release, Valheim is still doing quite well. Iron Gate has announced that it has sold 10 million copies of its survival game with Vikings.
The game also holds a stable spot among the most popular items on Steamalthough no longer in the top ten. Also, the reception of the game remains very positive – or even “overwhelmingly positive”, and this with more than 295 thousand reviews from users of the platform.

The developer admits that even in his wildest dreams he never imagined that Valheim would be such a great success. This has resulted in Iron Gate more than doubling its team, which is working on further development of the game. So far, this has translated to, among other things, the debut of the mountain biome in early March.
The current priority for the studio is to complete the Mistlands update, which will introduce an area shrouded in fog. We do not know too much about it yet, although the creators remind us about it with concept arts from time to time. It’s also worth adding that Valheim was verified for operation on Steam Deck.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when the game will leave Early Access on Steam.
