Riot Games is hosting another major stream of announcements, this time at League of Legends: Wild Rift on Friday at 10 a.m. EST. The biggest version of this developer stream was its 10th anniversary, aka the “We Finally Got the S in Riot Games” stream. Many important announcements were made on this stream, mainly VALORANT (then known as Project A), the mobile port of Teamfight Tactics, and the mobile version of their beloved MOBA, League of Legends: Wild Rift.
The reason Wild Rift was given a different name than so many other mobile versions of PC games didn’t is because Wild Rift isn’t a direct port of the PC version – it’s a replica of the code and the Game user interface that allows Riot Games to see what would have happened if League of Legends had been redesigned for PC. Now Riot has another Announcement Stream to show their plans for Wild Rift in 2022 and beyond.

When, where and how to see
Titled “The Season 2022 Stream,” it appears to have news and announcements on both League of Legends and Wild Rift, but the focus will most likely be on the mobile game rather than its predecessor. The stream will begin on Friday at 7 a.m. EST, but fans will be able to watch the replay afterwards if the time is not a good time in their time zone. Fans can watch both the stream and the recording on Riot’s official YouTube channel. League of Legends. There won’t be a patch preview for either title either, as the Riot Games crew is breaking down everything that’s coming in 2022 and the new season in the stream. The showcase is expected to let fans know what’s coming for the new season, what went well in the preseason and what didn’t, along with teasing for upcoming champions or remakes in the year ahead. Season 12 of League of Legends also starts on Friday.
