Brimming with raw elements, Battlefield 2042 is far from a good game in the opinion of many gamers, but it also has … repairable penguins.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. One Battlefield 2042 the player noticed an unusual feature in the game that allows us to fix penguins;
  2. The flaw is most likely due to developers using the same code to create both small animals and vehicles.

Battlefield 2042 is hands down the best game we’ve got this year, but it has something that other titles don’t – repairable penguins. One such feature was found by one gamer who didn’t fail to share his discovery with Reddit.

As a courtesy we won’t find out why users are dunaike decided to try the vehicle repair tool on penguins. However, it does not change the fact that he has discovered an interesting functionality that does not seem to bother the animals. It might be tempting to say that they look rather unimpressed.

Why does BF 2042 have repairable penguins? It’s most likely a game code issue. It seems like DICE created these birds as tiny vehicles that move around the map. and they encoded them the same way. Hence the ability to repair penguins with a device that is used to repair combat vehicles.

As other users rightly pointed out in the comments, using one code to create multiple in-game objects is a common practice in many other titles. This, in turn, makes the player’s discovery in question a curiosity rather than a bug in itself.

Either way, there’s no doubt that Battlefield 2042 still needs some tweaking. Hopefully updates like the one on December 2nd will finally fix the game.
