The first new League of Legends champion of 2022 has been unveiled – the electrifying “Hyper” ADC known as Zeri, the Spark of Zaun.
Riot had previously talked about this new 2022 master gunner, but today she revealed her spray art and a brief bio.
Zeri appeared in a champion post on the League of Legends website today that has now been removed.
Her skills have not yet been removed, but the blurb on the League of Legends website read: “Zeri, a wayward, spirited working-class young woman from Zaun, channels her electrical magic to charge herself and her custom-made weapon.
“Their fleeting power reflects their emotions, their sparks reflect their lightning-fast approach to life. Deeply compassionate towards others, Zeri carries the love of her family and home into every fight.
“Although her eagerness to help can sometimes backfire, Zeri believes that one truth is certain: stand up for your community and it will stand with you.”
The “lightning-fast” formulation makes it clear – this is the aforementioned electronic-themed ADC riot that would arrive in early 2022. The site also said that Zeri from Zaun and Ekko is a related champion.
A separate, new, money-focused support champion will arrive a few patches later.
This account reported more information about Zeri and the future champion this year:
Earlier at the upcoming ADC, Riot’s Lead Champion Producer Ryan ‘Reav3’ Mireles said, “We’re going to have an electrifying start to 2022 with a brand new bot lane shooter charging and rearing up to finally get into the Rift reach.
“We wanted to create a kinetic archer who is always on the move and pulsates with sparkling determination. A champion who plays the game at machine gun pace and brings the feel of a shooter game to the list. We also really wanted to explore more unique basic attack concepts in League. “
Upcomer also posted a tweet saying Zeri looks very familiar to new Valorant champion, Neon:
