Team Vitality said goodbye to 3 of its members when they lost to NaVi in the Consolidation Finals of the BLAST Premier World Finals. Following the PGL Major in Stockholm, it was reported that Team Vitality will be making roster changes in 2022, and player reactions and comments almost confirmed that this would be the last event for the team.

The trip has been dubbed the “Last Dance” by fans and experts alike, as Vitality put in an incredible performance at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, where they finished in second place. They also won the IEM Winter when ZywOo secured their first MVP of 2021 and a 3-4 at the BLAST Premier World Finals.

According to 1pv.fr and Dexter, The roster changes Vitality will make will consist of the removal of Richard ‘shox’ Papillon and Jayson ‘Kyojin’ Nguyen Van from the active roster, while coach Remy ‘XTQZZZ’ Quoniam would also be relieved of his duties.

The alleged trio to replace them would be the core of Astralis, consisting of Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen, Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif and trainer Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen. Since Christian ‘k0nfig’ Wienecke and Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer sit on Astralis’ bench with coach ‘ave’, the three Danes have been sitting. Their contracts expire in January 2022 and they are reportedly set to sign as a package deal for Team Vitality.

The farewell was very emotional, especially for Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, as can be seen in the interview after the game. XTQZZZ has been with Vitality from the start. He helped shape ‘apEX’ from an entry-level fragger to an IGL while also helping a lot in the development of ‘misutaaa’ and ‘Kyojin’ when they joined. There was mutual respect on both sides as they hugged in the group after the game.

Meanwhile, ‘shox’ has been reported to join Team Liquid while ‘XTQZZZ’ is Rumor has it that G2 will be signed esports. He said he will be back for 2022 and fans expect great things once he joins the star-studded lineup of G2 who are already planning big things for 2022. Kyojin’s future is currently unclear.
