Team Vitality enters the Indian version of Free Fire and PUBG Mobile, BGMI

Team Vitality announced its entry today free fire and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which is the Indian version of PUBG mobile.

The Paris-based eSports organization has Indranil “Fabindro” Saha as their IGL and trainer of the free fire Squad while Pratik “Aurum” Mehra will coach that BGMI Team.

Both are names embellished in their respective titles with years of experience. Fabindro previously played for TSM and Sixth Sense and has achieved first place in tournaments such as the Esports Premier League and the free fire Tri-Series in 2021. The coach said he already has “eyes on a few talented players” to build a winning team at Vitality.

Aurum, on the other hand, coached that PUBG mobile Fnatic and Galaxy Racer teams. The former team took first place in the PUBG mobile All-Stars India 2019 when he was a coach.

In a press release, the organization said the signing “reaffirms its commitment to a long-term investment in the Indian ecosystem and its aim to dominate the region’s esports scene.” Full rosters will be announced at a later date and they will operate out of the org’s training facility in Mumbai, India.

“Having legends like Aurum and Fabindro join us is a big step in our plans to strengthen our position in the country,” said Randall Fernandez, Managing Director of Team Vitality India. “We will be working closely together over the next few days to finalize our overall approach for both new titles. Additionally, with our exemplary existing roster of athletes, fully equipped training and streaming facility and Team Vitality esports pedigree, we are confident of soon becoming one of the top ranked teams in India and internationally in both fields free fire and BGMI.”

Vitality came to India in late 2020 with the signing of four content creators and later expanded with the acquisition of a Call of Duty: Mobile roster. The team was successful locally, taking second place in the South Asia and Middle East region Code: Mobile World Cup 2021.

The organization is now expanding its presence in the region free fire and BGMIwhich are two of the most played mobile games in the country.
