After several reports, the French team has finally unveiled the ex-Astralis trio for their 2022 professional campaign.
Team Vitality announced the addition of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “magisk” Reif and Danny “zonic” Sørensen to their active CS: GO department on Twitter. The trio, together with Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier with Zonic as head coach of the team, will take over the position vacated by Rémy “XTQZZ” Quoniam.
At the beginning of November 2021, Astralis relocated the aforementioned trio to the bank before the end of the respective contracts until the end of the year and revised their CS: GO squad with Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke and Benjamin “blameF” Bremer from Complexity alongside Alexander “ave” Holdt, who followed in Zonic’s footsteps.
Sooner than later, it emerged that the outgoing players were linked to Team Vitality, which decided to revamp their current roster after their failed run at the PGL CS: GO Stockholm Major, which saw Richard “shox” Papillon door with the fate of the others, four players got stuck despite managing to show a decent run, including a championship at the IEM Winter 2021 as well as top three finishes at BLAST Premier Fall and World Finals that same year.
With the reports now confirmed by the French-Danish mix, it will be Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van who is not and has not been in the starting blocks allegedly linked to LDLC to join Adji, Maka, Keoz and Python under the banner of the former.
This addition is part of a € 50 million investment acquired by Rewired.gg and spread over the next three years to create European super teams capable of winning the most coveted trophies in esports. This also includes the inclusion of Luka “Perkz” Perković and the successive European champion Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság in the League Of Legends squad of Team Vitality.

The arrival of Magisk and Dupreeh at Vitality will indeed bolster the team’s firepower ahead of the 2022 season, marking a fresh start for the duo who have won a variety of S-tier events together under Astralis, including a majors hat trick in the FACEIT Major: London 2018, Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Katowice Major 2019 and finally StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.
