kAdavra and ShadoW’s path to Team Vitality
At kAdavra, he began his competitive career for Warthox in late 2020, but switched to Alliance in early 2021. This is the team he has played on the most in his VALORANT career and struggled to get past the bigger teams in Europe. Alliance made it to several Challengers tournaments but never got past the quarterfinals and lost to Fnatic and Guild Esports in the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2 competition. He made a name for himself as a duelist when he replaced Team Vitality at the VALORANT Open Tour: France – Fall Qualifier. They won the qualification and soon became official.
As for ShadoW, who also replaced this tournament, he has some top flight experience under his belt. He started at FABRIKEN in early 2020 and moved to FunPlus Phoenix later that year. For FPX, he helped the team reach Europe’s Stage 1 Masters, where it lost to Acend in the semifinals. After that, the best result they achieved as a team was fourth place in the Stage 3 Challengers 1 tournament. ShadoW’s game at Breach and Sova was a focus of the team, but FPX announced its decision to change its roster in 2022 after the last VCT tournament.
The future of Team Vitality
With the addition of kAdavra, Team Vitality has again won a French player for its squad and a duelist who can compete against top European teams. With ShadoW you now have a proven talent that has helped his old team, more than before, Team Vitality, to the top 4 placements in Europe. Now it’s time to add these new players to a squad that didn’t do well in the last Challengers tournament but showed promise in the French Open qualifier. Well, much like previous iterations of Team Vitality, European tournaments will challenge this new roster in 2022.
