Two of the most successful Valorant teams in the EMEA region have left the final stages of the Valorant Champions tournament in Berlin.
Team Liquid lost in the semi-finals on Saturday 2-0 to their European colleague Acend, while Fnatic lost 2-1 to KRÜ Esports in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Both Liquid and Fnatic have two British players and a British trainer each – Liquid with L1NK, soulcas and trainers Sliggy and Fnatic with Boaster (Image above courtesy of Fnatic’s Twitter page), Mistic and Trainer Mini.
While it could be seen as disappointing for the region, Liquid and Fnatic exceeded expectations in the group stage where they each went 2-0, showing the world that UK and EU talent can compete with the best.
Both teams tweeted about their progress at Valorant this year, with Liquid saying they overcame many challenges this year and Fnatic saying they gave everything and are “more than proud” to represent the EMEA region at Champions to have.
