On Saturday, SuperMassive Blaze, one of Turkey’s leading esports teams, announced that they add Caner “CyderX” Demir, previously Kafalar Esports, to their VALORANT list. This is the first official roster announcement since the team announced that Batuhan “russ” Malgaç, Melih “pAura” Karaduran and Mehmet “Turko” Özen could explore their options and try them out with other teams.

As this is the first official announcement on the roster, it could be a sign of more news. The inclusion of CyderX, who plays the IGL role, could suggest that one of the three players exploring their options is unlikely to sign with SuperMassive Blaze again. However, it may not as they may attempt a six-player lineup for 2022. It wouldn’t be the first time someone has tried this.
The more likely option is for pAura, Russ, and Turko to leave SMB. Because of their great performance in Masters: Berlin and all year round, they will likely go to great teams, but in esports, you never know. No matter where they go, be it another Turkish team, another EMEA team or maybe overseas, hopefully they have a chance to show their true potential.
Where are SuperMassive Blaze and CyderX? At the moment they have signed a promising new player. For the future? It looks like someone is leaving the team or becoming a six-man squad this year.
