Hyper relays are set to transform the gameplay

In the latest installation of Dev Diarythe creators decided to describe in detail the changes that will take place in the game with the addition of hyper relays.

To access them, players will need to learn the Hyperlane Breach Points technology and gain access to Rare Crystals. Once you unlock the Hyperlane Breach Points, they will start appearing more and more throughout the galaxy.

One hyper relay isn’t going to introduce much to the game, but their chain is going to make a huge difference when it comes to navigating the galaxy. Having a network of relays will greatly increase the speed of movement, and the colonies under the player’s control will be subject to various effects related to the created network.

Not only relays

If you are wondering what will be introduced by Stellaris: Overlord, in the aforementioned announcement Paradox Interactive did not fail to remind us about that as well. In the expansion we can expect:

  1. Developments to the vassalage and governance system, giving players more control over subordinate states;
  2. Five origins (Imperial Fiefdom, Teachers of the Veil, Leap into the Stars, Genesis of the Being, Parent Hive), which are also new plot threads;
  3. Three new space megastructures, as well as other previously unknown structures that will help players manage the empire;
  4. Three new enclaves that will give us access to the following skills: the Voyalist Enclave, the Scrapper Enclave, and the Mercenary Enclave.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the DLC is not a standalone title, so in order to gain access to the new options of building a cosmic empire, you must also own the basic version of Stellaris.
