- the game will be based on the Unreal Engine 4 and offer a multiplayer mode,
- most likely it will be available on both PC and consoles – XONE, PS4, XSX / S and PS5.
Recently we received Reports about a new one South park game. The game is developed by Question Games which is known for its creation The magic circle and The blackout club. The game will offer a multiplayer mode. Such information can be derived from a job offer published on the studio’s website. There you can also read that the project is being created with Unreal Engine 4.
The company is looking for people with experience developing games for the PC, as well as Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, and PlayStation 5, so the game is likely heading towards these platforms.
It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the studio’s new project benefited from the experience the developers gained creating it The blackout club. It’s a cooperative horror game in which a group of children explore a city to discover its dark secrets. Of course with South park the horror vibe should be replaced with a comedy take.
It is worth mentioning that the information is about the new South park Game is nothing new. We’d known about it since August last year. Then the creators of the brand – Trey Parker and Matt Stone – signed a deal with ViacomCBS to develop a series of animated films for Paramount. The details of that deal also indicated that there are plans for another game set in the town of South Park. We have now just received the first specific information about this project.
In the past few years we have received several notable games based on this license. In 2014 it was the excellent RPG South Park: The Stick of Truth by Obsidian Entertainment, and three years later we got an equally successful sequel (this time developed by Ubisoft’s in-house team), South Park: The Fractured But Whole. A little less noteworthy was the mobile South Park: Phone Destroyer.
The new South park The game seems to be in good hands. Question Games was founded by the industry veterans who previously attended South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: The Broken But The Whole, as well as BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, and Dishonored.
