Sledgehammer Games reveals buffs for two benefits in Vanguard

Fire grenades have had the upper hand in Call of Duty: Vanguard for over two months. Their dominance has led Sledgehammer Games to come up with several ways to weaken them. This starts with improving two advantages in Vanguard multiplayer.

There are currently no counters for firing grenades in multiplayer, which has resulted in a massive increase in their use. When players jump into a match on Shipment or The House, they will only see fire grenades scattering the battlefield. More specifically, you will see the incendiary grenade introduced with the Season 1 Battle Pass. While the thermite grenade is also popular, it is nowhere near as powerful as arson.

Following an outcry from the community, Sledgehammer is reducing the incendiary grenade and all fire damage in an update that will be released soon.

Vanguard reduces fire damage by buffing two perks

Sledgehammer Games wrote one long twitter thread Explains exactly how the developers in Vanguard deal with fire damage. The thread started by saying that the development team plans to decrease the overall effectiveness of the Brandgrendade. Players in Core modes can now survive when caught in the fire set by the grenade. However, this does not apply if players are hit directly by the grenade.

Next, the developers explained what they are doing to counter fire damage altogether. There will be two advantages, Fortified and Dauntless Received new additions to fight fires in multiplayer. These additions can be viewed below.

  • Reinforced: Greatly reduces incoming Fire damage, including the initial effects of a Molotov hit.
  • Undaunted: Grant immunity when moving through fire. It does not protect against initial impacts such as B. direct damage from the Flamnaut.

Eventually, the developers stated that the incendiary grenade will also experience a reduction in the area occupied by its smoke and flames. The aim of the incendiary grenade is now to block enemy lines of sight and paths. However, that specific change comes in another update.

For now, players can expect all of the other changes in the Vanguard update to arrive next week. Season 1 Reloaded should arrive early and add new content to Vanguard, including Zombies mode. It will also introduce the perk buffs, fire damage nerfs, and weapon balancing for snipers and shotguns, among other things.
