With the end of the DPC Winter Tour qualifiers, the Dota 2 Champions League begins. Season 7 hosts 17 invited teams.
The Dota 2 Champions League started on January 24th. There is still a long way to go before the DPC Regional Finals in the 6 regions.
The open qualifiers ended on January 22nd. As the Main Event rages on, 17 teams from Europe and CIS will compete for a $50,000 prize pool.

team tickles: Against all odds, Team Tickles has proven their strength in DPC. In over 8 weeks of winter qualifiers they finished 2nd in the table. Considering their performance, they should finish at the top.
Hellraiser: HellRaisers are a pretty strong roster. Except that they’ve done pretty poorly throughout the season. Statistically, we expect them to finish second as the championship progresses.
GPS: NaVi has found its way back to victory. But there is work to be done to work on the skill gap with the top teams. But their experience makes them formidable opponents.

- Two groups of seven teams each
- Single round robin
- All games are Bo3
- The two best teams of each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs
- 3rd and 4th place Teams from each group advance to the bottom group of the playoffs
- The remaining teams are eliminated
- Tiebreaker Rules:

- If one or more of the tied teams should be eliminated – Bo1 Tiebreak matches are played until the tie is broken
- If two or more teams have the same number of points, the final ranking will be decided according to the following priority:
- Number of games won 2:0
- card difference
- The sum of streak wins for all teams beating tied teams
- head-to-head result
