Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G: mid-range magic> NAG

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is the latest mid-range smartphone that offers the 5G upgrade to an already impressive range of smartphones. The new Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has a chipset update with some additional features like 5G and Wi-Fi 6 and is a small update for the Galaxy A52 that hit the market earlier this year.

While most of the specs on this smartphone have stayed the same, the biggest update on this model is the Qualcomm SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G, which replaces the Qualcomm SM7125 Snapdragon 720G on the Galaxy A52.

The model we received for testing had 128 GB of storage with 6 GB of RAM. Additional memory can be added via a microSDXC card that is shared with the SIM slot.

The screen is a gorgeous 6.5 inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz that is just great for everyday use but really shines when you start playing but more on that later.

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G feels good in the hand and I was surprised at how beautiful the plastic back of this phone is. Unlike glass-backed phones, this one doesn’t attract nasty fingerprints, which I was very grateful for during my trial period with this phone.

On the back of the phone, you are greeted by a four-camera cluster neatly arranged on a slightly raised bump. As the main rear camera, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has an impressive 64-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f / 1.7.

There’s also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera for those close-ups. The front-facing selfie camera is an impressive 32-megapixel sensor that gives you plenty of leeway to edit your selfies.

Content creators will also appreciate the video capabilities of this smartphone. Both the front and main rear cameras can record video in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, and you can get up to 60 frames per second on the rear camera when recording in 1080p.

Videos and photos produced with the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G are fantastic and the massive 64-megapixel sensor shoots impressive photos even in low light. As someone who takes photos with my smartphone every day, I was very pleased with the quality of the photos and videos I was able to take with this smartphone. In fact, I didn’t expect to like this phone that much.

The screen is lively and silky smooth thanks to the refresh rate of 120 Hz. Things as mundane as mirroring screens look a lot nicer with a higher refresh rate. Of course, if you’re looking to save battery power, it’s a good idea to manually change the phone’s refresh rate to 60 Hz in the Display Settings menu.

The higher refresh rate translates very well into game performance. While not all mobile games support 60fps or 120fps, I found that my usual selection of action games ran wonderfully on this smartphone. Both PUBGM and CODM do very well and the 3DMark benchmark has confirmed our results. The Wild Life benchmark returned a score of 2493 while Wild Life Extreme returned a score of 691.

The phone’s built-in speakers deliver good audio quality, but as always, good headphones are much better suited for gaming. Luckily there is a 3.5mm audio jack so you can use your wired headphones or use bluetooth.

I love getting a good bargain when it comes to tech and I think Samsung managed to hit the sweet spot with this phone. At under 9,000 ren, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is really good value for money if your into content creation or gaming. There’s a lot of power under the hood, the camera is fantastic, and the video editing at 120 Hz is to die for.

END EFFECT
