Valorant’s new Agent Neon, Episode 4 and a Protocol skin line were fully revealed today by Riot Games.
Neon Agent in Valorant: Skills Revealed
Filipino agent Neon is a nimble new playable character who “fires bursts of bioelectrical radiation as fast as her body makes them”. She runs ahead to catch enemies off guard, then quickly knocks them down.
Neon has also been compared to Zeri, the new League of Legends champion who also has electrical skills.
Your skills are as follows:
(E) UPWARDS

(Q) RELAY BOLTS
Immediately throw a bolt of energy that ricochets once. When hitting any surface, the bolt electrifies the ground below with a harrowing explosion.
(C) FAST LANE
Fire two lines of energy forward on the ground that extend a short distance or until they hit a surface. The lines rise to walls of static electricity that block view and cause damage to enemies who pass them.
(X) OVERPRESSURE
Unleash the full power and speed of neon for a short time. Fire to direct the force into a deadly bolt of lightning with high accuracy of movement. The duration is reset with every kill.
Valorant game designer Ryan ‘rycou’ Cousart said, “I’ve been with Riot for a while and until now there has only been a little talk about making a character from the Philippines. I’m a Filipino designer so the ability to bring a Filipino agent to life in Valorant has been an absolute blessing for me to the core.
“I vividly remember the day when John Goscicki and Jay Watford brought the news to me that I was getting this opportunity and luckily my camera was not working as I was suffocated and full of tears. I remember not being able to speak for a few minutes and even though I was speechless, I uttered a very low “thank you, so much”.
“Seeing how much work the Neon Pod has done in collaboration with our Riot team in SEA to bring Neon to life as authentically as possible is something I’m really proud of, if only a small part . ”

Ryan added, “Everything in their kit had two words that we kept referring to on the design side to keep it cohesive. These were “fast” and “mad”. I remember when August Browning (League of Legends Lead Champion Designer) originally came to us with the idea of having an agent with the ability to sprint quickly on a basic skill – I had a lot of reasons why I thought it was an insurmountable amount of work to achieve it.
“The goal we had set ourselves for Neon was that it should move quickly and complement its utility. After seeing how far Jay and August had gone before I made it to the finish line, I was so excited to see how well we had accomplished the goal of having skills that go well with speed that it did the prototype phase with basically the same kit. “
