The newest VALORANT Agent Neon is an explosive runabout with tons of playmaking skills. But sadly, gamers got their hands on her too quickly to start Episode 4 because Riot Games accidentally unlocked her as an unlocked agent that anyone could access right away.
Riot tweeted the mishap on his officer VALORANT Twitter account and confirms that it has disabled in the regions where Patch 4.0 was released, which currently includes North America, Brazil, and Latin America. Europe has not yet received the episode four patch.
Riot confirmed that the goal is to re-enable Neon a few hours after it went offline, which should be around 2:30 p.m. CT. When she returns, players should be able to unlock her by buying her contract or leveling it up through missions and games.
In addition to the release of Neon, Episode Four and Patch 4.0 includes a new Battle Pass, the new Protocol skin collection, numerous adjustments to the competitive mode, significant changes to Breeze and Bind, and updates to several weapons. Riot also promised to fix the “Widejoy” banner, but only with patch 4.01.
The weapon updates include buffs for the Knife, Ares, Guardian, and Bulldog. The Specter received nerfs for its long-range, short-range, and move-while-shooting abilities. The changes to Breeze are intended to help both attackers and defenders in certain situations, while the primary change to Bind was to remove a strong, disposable smoke stain on Short A.
