Uncharted is crossing over with Fortnite on February 17, allowing players to choose between both the movie and game versions of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer.
Fortnite crossing over with Uncharted is something that’s been rumored to be plenty over the past few years, originally starting when Kratos jumped over to the game a few seasons ago, and again picking up steam as the film’s release got closer and items related to maps were found within the game’s files.
In true treasure hunting fashion, the Uncharted collaboration hasn’t actually been announced by Epic yet, instead being discovered through a note sent to influencers. The note asked content creators to solve a riddle to find a password that revealed the skins coming with the collaboration. As you can probably guess, the password was “Sic Parvis Magna”.
Upon entering the password, content creators were shown the skins, which include Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer, either from the upcoming film, or from Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. The pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but we did get to see some of the items in action and datamines have revealed the exact contents of the bundle.
Within the bundle is the Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer outfit, which comes with styles for the game versions of the characters. The included back bling is “Chloe’s Pack”, which is presumably just a backpack. The Second Hand Saber pickaxe seems like it’s a reference to Uncharted 4, when Nathan Drake was able to wield Avery’s sword. while the Parashurama Ax is a reference to a scene in The Lost Legacy.
The bundle also includes a new glider, “Sully’s ‘New’ Seaplane”, which is a reference to his crashed plane in the first Uncharted, and can be seen briefly in the collaboration trailer. An “update journal” emote will also be included. interestingly, dataminers have also discovered that Nathan Drake will introduce a reworked version of the Treasure Map item to the game. The Treasure Map was an item that allowed players to find valuable loot if they followed a certain path.
