A big update titled Sentinel has arrived to No Man’s Sky. It introduces new enemies and technical improvements.

The developers at Hello Games are still working on No Man’s Sky. Today they released the sentinels update, which introduces major changes to the title’s combat system, new enemies and technical improvements. The patch is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PS5.

Novelties from the Sentinel update

The update has expanded the features of Sentinels, the machines that patrol the surface of planets. Their ranks will be joined by three new types of drones – Heavy Combat, Repair and Summoner. Each of them has its own unique characteristics. Additionally, the ranks of the group will also include a huge Hardframe Battle Mech, which will patrol areas with a high level of danger. It is characterized by high firepower and a jetpack that allows for fast movement.

Additionally, our character received new equipment. The update introduces a new type of weapon – Neutron Cannon. It is powered by energy and can inflict great damage at close range. There is also a possibility to have our own drone, which will help us in combat. In addition, existing weapons have been improved in terms of damage, among other things.

The multi tool has also been modified. The developers have implemented an extension that enables us to toggle camouflage. In addition, the device received visual improvements of generated effects.

On the technical side, the update also introduced support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and Nvidia DLAA.
