The Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr. has joined Facebook Gaming with a streaming deal and will stream exclusively on the platform in the future.
According to Facebook, the 29-year-old will stream several times each month and together with other content creators.
His first official post-deal livestream was on December 17 at 11 a.m. PT, which fans can watch on his official Facebook page.
This big step by Facebook Gaming certainly has to be one step ahead of the platform in the ongoing competition with other popular services such as YouTube or Twitch.
Previously, Neymar was seen streaming several times Pull out, with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive being one of his favorite titles to stream. For those who don’t know, he’s pretty good at the game too.
“We are excited to welcome Neymar Jr. to Facebook Gaming, where he can connect with fans around the world through games,” said William Pimenta, Strategic Partner Manager at Facebook Gaming. “Like soccer, gaming brings people together across borders and languages. And our global approach to helping YouTubers is one of the things that make Facebook Gaming so special. “
Neymar Jr. is without a doubt one of the best football players in the world. The star currently plays alongside Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé for French giant Paris Saint-Germain.
