An interesting Red Dead Redemption 2 mod title Law has been released. The project increases the realism of many elements related to crime and law enforcement officers pursuing us.

Red Dead Redemption 2 does not offer official support for mods, but this does not prevent fans from creating many interesting projects. The latest example of this is Lawwhich thoroughly reworks the mechanics associated with law enforcement officers and bounty hunters.

The mod aims to increase the realism of this element of the gameplay. After installing he mod, committing a crime in front of a witness no longer causes the instant appearance of sheriffs (except in cities). The author reworked the system to take into account how far away from our location is a city from where the lawmen are supposed to arrive. Smaller crimes do not trigger a response at all, and in the most remote regions only the most serious crimes are prosecuted.

Not to make things too easy, most of the groups pursuing the player have tracking dogs. On top of that, there is a 15 percent chance of a random patrol showing up, even in the biggest wildernesses. Cities have also been redesigned – for example, in small towns, law enforcers no longer appear close to the player and instead arrive in carriages.

In addition, the groups of bounty hunters pursuing us are more diverse. The crimes themselves have also been modified – for example, fighting is no longer punishable, provided it was done in self-defense.

Unfortunately, the author was unable to fix one of the game’s more serious problems, namely that disguising ourselves does not prevent law enforcement officers from detecting us.
