Netflix ‘Arcane’ has received 9 nominations for the Annie Award

Riot Games’ League of Legends Netflix Show “Arcane” was hosted by. nominated for nine Annie Awards ASIFA Hollywood, detailed on theirs website. The MOBA-inspired show has been nominated for multiple TV / media awards and is on the same list as the animated series “Invincible”, “Tuca & Bertie” and “Star Wars: Visions”.

The Annie Awards also recognize feature films and other animation media. It is “The highest honor of animation“According to their website.

    • For Episode 9: The Monster You Made
      • The episode’s directors include Pascal Charue, Arnaud Delord, and Barthelemy Maunoury
  • Best production design – TV / media

The awards are largely due to the animation, the art of the show and the storylines brought to life by the French company Fortiche Productions. The awards also mostly focus on individual episodes within the series, as the show’s final two episodes represent the scriptwriting, directing and FX categories.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to begin on February 26th in the Royce Hall of the University of California in Los Angeles.

“Arcane” has broadcast reverberation beyond the League of Legends community and has broken into mainstream animation discourse. The show even ranked # 1 on Netflix twice over three weekends during its release.

A second season of “Arcane” is currently in production as Riot Games has signed multiple seasons with Netflix. Whether these future installments will be as popular or whether there will be awards remains to be seen.
