NAF’s path to re-signing
NAF’s competitive CS: GO career began in late 2012, playing for old CS: GO teams like mouseSpaz, Denial Esports, and LunatiK Esports. In 2015 he played for five different teams, including a brief stint at Team Liquid that ended at OpTic Gaming in early 2016. During his year and eight months at OpTic, his best result was in ELEAGUE’s second season and won it all in late 2016, defeating Astralis in the final.
After a few early knockout placements, NAF switched to Renegades in late 2017. After winning two offline tournaments with Renegades, similar to his time at OpTic, results fell. However, Team Liquid added him to their roster in early 2018. This triggered the TL roster almost immediately as their first tournament after signing was a first place at cs_summit 2. The highlights of his time with TL belong to their 2019 year and have won five major tournaments during that time. Since then, the team has not reached its annual high.
The future of Team Liquid
Since former IGL Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella stepped down from Counter-Strike, her results have not been as consistent as when they were in heyday. The team step up and still retain much of their talent, but changes have resulted in some disappointing performances.

The re-signing of NAF comes just days after a report from 1pv.fr that said the player may not have been part of the organization’s plans for the future. Nitr0 is also considering returning to the CS organization as first reported by Upcomer and confirmed by 1pv.fr. Regardless of how the offseason moves go, NAF still appears to be a part of the team’s future plans.
