Mario Kart Tour adds Meowser and Bowsers Castle

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has become something of a juggernaut on the Nintendo Switch. The game, which is practically just an expansion of Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, is now the best-selling Mario Kart game of all time. Concrete proof for Nintendo that a game with the Mario Kart flag does not have to be constantly added and updated. It doesn’t have to hurry up and give us Mario Kart 9 or whatever comes next.

If you’re looking for a Mario Kart game that regularly gets new characters and tracks, then there’s something for you. Mario Kart Tour. Tour gets new stuff every two weeks and it doesn’t slow down during the holiday season. But on the contrary. Tour kicks off its New Years tour this week and comes with a classic track and a brand new racer.

As you can see in the trailer below, Super Mario 3D World’s Meowser makes his tour debut this week. The Bowser theme continues as the 3DS version of Bowser’s Castle will debut in the mobile game as well. This increases the tour track count on the handheld console to ten. You can pick up some new items too, including the usual 2022 glider to throw you into the New Year.

You’d think that Tour’s time in the market would run out more than two years after it was launched. At the beginning of the year, the mobile game Dr. Mario World for lack of interest in the dust.
