Finnish organization ENCE announced the signing of professional CSGO player Pavle “Maden” Bošković via chirp today. The Montegengrian has been on the bench since Chinese organization Funplus Phoenix decided to end their CSGO operations in November. He was part of the original GODSENT list that FPX acquired.
Although the team hadn’t qualified for the Major or had any podium finishes, “Maggots” had performed well throughout, and this was noted by ENCE when they added him to complete their CSGO roster.
ENCE had an all Finnish squad up until 2020, which also consisted of IEM Katowice Major runners-up – allu, xSeven, Sergei and Aerial. xSeven was acquired by HAVU Gaming and left the team when Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen became part of the main roster. Mediocre results and motivation problems among the members made them go one by one, starting with Aerial, Sergej and then SunNy. They signed ‘doto’ to be part of the main squad.

In 2021, ENCE went international after ‘Jamppi’ decided to move to Valorant and was acquired by Team Liquid. ENCE completed the signing of Danish IGL “Snappi” and Israeli shooter “Sphinx” from c0ntact Gaming. ‘Dycha’ was also signed by Sprout to round out the roster, meaning ‘allu’ was the only remaining member from the Major run.
After ‘allu’ benched in mid-2021, ENCE signed Polish AWPer ‘hades’ as ‘doto’ was the only Finn in the squad.
2021 was reasonably successful for ENCE as they were ranked world No. 7 at times. Despite having no RMR points from the previous year, they competed in the last RMR event, IEM Fall, and made it to the finals to take home enough points to go to the Major. At the PGL Stockholm Major, ENCE easily qualified for the Legends stage but was unable to do anything after qualifying. They walked out with an 0-3 whimper and that was the end of the road. For them, too, the trend continued at the end of the year and they are currently in 17th place.
In 2022, “doto” was benched and “Magen” signed. Maden had been on the FPX bench and many teams had their eye on him because his explosive performance was doomed. He had already stepped in for the team at IEM Winter 2021 instead of Snappi.
ENCE coach Eetu “sAw” Saha said: “We are very happy to bring Maden into the team! We had already met him briefly at IEM Winter and he made a good first impression, Maden is a social and easy-going guy who gets along well with the team. He also brings a lot of firepower and aggression which can help improve our game for the upcoming season.”
“Regarding the role, there will be some changes to make Maden feel comfortable and the team to function better.”
ENCE’s CSGO roster after Maden’s addition is as follows:
- Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
- Olek “hades” Miskiewicz
- Pavel “dycha” Dycha
- Lotan “Spinx” Giladi
- Pavle “Maden” Boskovic
- Eetu “sAw” Saha (Trainer)
