Mad Lions’ Mac begins selling its UK-made Guardian Lions ties.

James ‘Mac’ MacCormack, British League of Legends head coach for Mad Lions in the LEC, has revealed his trademarks to the public.

Fans can now buy his Guardian Lions tie online, priced at €22.50 and available at Mac’s Odds and Ends website.

Mac has not only become known for taking Mad Lions to unprecedented levels after winning back-to-back LECs in 2021, but also for his flamboyant sense of dress and ties.

Mac has worn all types of ties in League of Legends tournaments, including a Gyarados Pokémon tie.

At the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) in Iceland and Worlds in the same country last year, Mac designed and produced ties for other coaches and competitors as gifts. Due to community interest, he is now making them available to the public.

Mac added on his website: “After the amazing experience of exchanging gifts with kkOma at MSI 2021, I decided to design and make these beautiful ties as gifts for my fellow coaches and competitors attending the 2021 World Cup.

“The response has been wonderful and I’ve made more than a few friends in the process. The ties are made in Britain and feature “Guardian Lions” (also known as stone lions or shishi (石獅; shíshī)) who, according to Chinese mythology, serve as protectors from harm.

“I love the symbol not only as a tribute to my team Mad Lions, but also as a recognition of my Chinese heritage (my paternal grandmother is from Macau). Since then a number of people have asked me if I could make them available for public purchase and here they are.

“I hope you like them, and I hope they bring you happiness and prosperity as they did for me.”

Mad Lions take on Vitality today in game one of the Spring 2022 LEC.

Two months ago, Mad Mac and his coaching staff renewed their Mad Lions contracts while Pad took on new responsibilities.
