Toronto based Luminosity Gaming have dropped their Valorant roster as they actively look for a new home for Will “dazzLe” Loafman and company, the announcement was made earlier today on the team’s Twitter handle although they are allowed to play under the banner of LG throughout the ongoing VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers event where they are yet to face Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming in their remaining matches. They currently sit with 2 wins and just 1 loss on the table and are deemed as the heavy favorites to qualify for the playoffs.

The major setback behind the exit of Luminosity from the said esport is their parent company Enthusiast Gaming who are placed under scrutiny, forcing the former to unexpectedly drop their roster. The company’s declining fortunes had their stakeholders Greywood Investments call the largest investor public campaign which had their CEO and other board members removed from the panel.

During their time in the Competitive circuit, Luminosity went on to win the NSG: Winter Championship where they outed Sentinels 3-2 in the Grand Finals followed by 3x third-place finishes across the Challengers Stages of VCT 2021: North America 1 & 3.

LG Valorant player Adam “mada” Pampuch expressed the team’s desire to hold tight to their roster along with all of their staff as doing so would prove vital for the team’s long-term success.

Luminosity will play Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming on June 5 and 13 respectively in the ongoing VCT 2022: Stage 2 Challengers North America.
