LowLandLions are planning to sign Zhergoth, Urban, Mikkel, Orre and Bravado

LowLandLions, a Counter-Strike team that will be competing in the Benelux Elite Series in the spring of 2022, have reached verbal roster changes, sources told Upcomer.

The list of LowLandLions next spring will look like this:

  • Above: Benjamin “Zhergoth” Sánchez
  • Jungle: Marcus “Urban” Urban Christensen
  • Middle: Michael “Mikkel” Nguyen
  • Bot: Charlie “Orre” Orre
  • Support: Dear “Bravado” Rapp
  • Trainer: Björn “Björn” Panek
  • Trainer: Dylan “TheBash” Lardinois

Zhergoth, Orre and Bjorn most recently worked together on the Belgian team Sector One, where they won the summer of the Belgian league in 2021, qualified for the summer play-ins of the European Masters in 2021 and finished second in the country finals of the Belgian league in 2021. Before that, Orre and Bjorn also worked together at LowLandLions in the summer of the 2020 Dutch league, where Bjorn was assistant coach. They won the Dutch league that summer and also took part in the following EU Masters play-ins.

The duo Mikkel and Urban from the middle jungle and coach TheBash join LowLandLions from their time with the Belgian team KV Mechelen Esports; a team associated with the KV Mechelen football club. They won the Belgian league in spring 2021 and qualified for the EU Masters. They finished second in the summer but ultimately won the Belgian League Country Final in 2021.

Support Bravado recently played with the German team 404 Multigaming eV in the First Division of the Prime League in summer and winter 2021. He helped them take first place in the winter and qualify for the Prime League Pro Division’s summer relegation in 2021. He also played with Orre in Riddle Esports during the Summer 2020 season of the Northern League of Legends Championship.

The Elite Series is the result of the merger between the Belgian and Dutch leagues in the Benelux region due to Changes in the ecosystem of the European regional leagues. The Belgian and Dutch leagues were announced as the successors to the once combined Benelux Premier League in 2020, but due to changes and standardizations introduced in the ERLs for 2022, the Benelux countries have reunited.

LowLandLions were one of the four invited teams to participate in the Elite Series Promotion Tournament where they successfully qualified by beating Team 7AM 3-0.

As an organization, LowLandLions are one of the older names in the Benelux as they have been around since 2007. Formerly known as Defusekids, they disbanded in 2016. But in 2020 they came back to the scene and changed their name in 2020 under the name they are known today. You are there too Partnership with the Belgian football team KAA Gent.
