League of Legends was the most watched esport of 2021

League of Legends topped the viewer charts again.

Riot Games’ MOBA was the most-watched esport of 2021 based on total esports tournament hours watched across multiple streaming platforms, according to the esports statistics site Sports Charts. However, the data doesn’t include figures from Chinese platforms due to “peculiarities of the methods” they use to calculate viewership.
