Insomnia Gaming Festival 68 has just concluded, but organizers have confirmed that it’s returning this summer for the next edition: i69.

Insomnia 69 is due to take place from Friday August 26th to Monday August 29th 2022, during the bank holiday weekend.

The official Insomnia Gaming Festival Twitter account posted the following tweet saying the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) element will run from those dates above, while weekend tickets will be for Friday August 26th to Sunday 28th 2022.

Ticket sales have not yet gone live, but several attendees have been booking up hotels and making arrangements to attend the next one following a seemingly successful Insomnia 68.

There was a good amount of people flowing through the halls, as well as a very well-attended League of Legends i68 LAN final on the main stage, which was won by student team Gray Warwick.

The League of Legends BYOC group stage did have some scheduling issues, as did the CSGO LAN, which was also hit by server problems and long wait times for matches.

But the expo hall was relatively busy and several in the UK esports community (bar CS players for the aforementioned reason) largely complimented the event overall.

Esports News UK caught up with Insomnia founder Craig ‘wizzo’ Fletcher after the event, who said it went well, but as the name of the event suggests, at that point he looked like he needed a well-deserved rest!

We’ll be back with more post-event coverage from i68, including several video interviews, over the coming week.
