IO Interactive has released several new announcements, including the release of Hitman 3 on Steam and Xbox Game Pass, as well as new features and Year 2 updates coming to the game on January 20th, 2022.
Content of Hitman 3 Year 2
Elusive Target Arcade
In this new game mode you can take down targets one by one. Elusive objectives in this mode are persistent and very rewarding, and if you fail an arcade contract, you can replay the contract after a cooldown
Starting with Year 2 – Hitman 3’s Target arcade mode will feature three Contracts – The Ellipses, The Quanta, and The Vitae.

The upcoming Freelancer mode will add roguelike elements to Hitman 3, including a customizable safehouse where you can change your playstyle as you progress through this new mode. Freelancer features several missions from a modified version of the game’s main campaign. Any weapons or equipment you are carrying must be returned to the Safehouse or you risk losing them.
Hitman 3 ray tracing features
Later this year, Hitman 3 will receive several graphical improvements as players will be given the option to enable ray tracing for improved reflections and shadows, and VRS to boost PC performance.
Hitman 3 will be one of the first games to feature Intel’s XeSS upscaling technology, which works in the same way as NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR technology.
Hitman 3 is expected to release on January 20th alongside the Hitman trilogy on Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass.
