Canadian CSGO caster Matthew ‘Sadokist’ Trivett used Twitter to vent his frustration over recent CSGO drama. He didn’t mention names, but made it clear how sick he was of the hypocrisy and gender-bashing mentality of the people and how they supposedly “play the victim” behind the scenes.
Sadokist had been away from CSGO for most of 2020, however returned to the casting next to Jason ‘moses’ O’Toole at the StarLadder CIS RMR 2021. He was also at the PGL Stockholm Major and was welcomed with open arms by the community. He had previously cast two major grand finals and has been an integral part of the largest CSGO events since 2014.
Sadokist emphasized that eSport as a whole is free from politics and propaganda, since it is only pursued “out of passion, thrill, competition and the love of the game as a whole”.
This could very likely be a blow to Auguste ‘Semmler’ Massonat, who embarrassed Ryan at Rush B Media for having pronouns in his bio. So far, esports has been free of politics and focused solely on gaming, but the announcement of the ‘GGFORALL“Initiative causes people to use it to advance their political goals and beliefs.
He also said, ‘You want to do good? Stop trying to teach people about things that you don’t really understand or that you are not properly trained about. Stop tearing down walls for the sake of self-worth. Instead, use your brand to support charities / communities. ‘ Point out that rather than understanding the problem, Twitter users are quick to criticize and use their brand and influence for the wrong purposes.
Sadokist also responded to a user who said he has been part of the industry long enough to see the changes. He explained that 5 years ago politics was not as widespread in the scene as it is today and has proclaimed it accordingly whenever it was necessary.
