Now that Evil Geniuses have revealed their full roster, the big three North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams – Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming, and EG – are all open. No NA team could consistently outperform Liquid in 2021, but hopefully that will change in the 2022 season. There are heavyweights in all three teams and all have the potential to wreak havoc on the international Tier 1 scene.
While there’s always the potential for a new NA CS:GO roster to emerge from the darkness, or for one of the Tier 2 teams (Party Astronauts or Extra Salt, for example) to make their way firmly into the big leagues, the best hopes are of NA probably these three teams. With no shortage of talent, this is the year that NA begins digging the region out of the hole it has been in since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. And on the off chance that an NA team rises to the top and dethrones Natus Vincere, these three newly created rosters have you covered.
In Evil Geniuses there is a reunion between the three former Cloud9 members. Complexity took a risk by acquiring the core of Extra Salt. Finally, Liquid gets an overhaul with the return of Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella from VALORANT and a few other household names.
One question you might have if you’re new to or returning to NA CS:GO is which of these teams should you support? Do you value winning everything, or do you want to support an underdog? Do you want veteran fan favorites or newbies looking to make a name for themselves? Take the following quiz to find out if you should stand behind Liquid, EG or Complexity.
