Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago, CEO of G2 Esports, has announced the addition of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov to his active CS: GO department. The ex-Natus Vincere junior prodigy is expected to replace François “AmaNEk” Delaunay in the main squad, which has yet to be confirmed by the organization.

After a plethora of reports flooded into the second half of 2021, we see m0NESY finally finding a new home at G2 Esports, a move predicted by a majority of experts after the PGL CS: GO Stockholm Major is over was, in which the team led by Nemanja “nexa” Isaković was beaten in the grand final against Na’Vi.

G2 Sports has officially joined the squad mix for the 2022 professional season, in which they certainly signed m0NESY, but still have to announce further changes in the transition within the team.

Almost a month ago a report from indicated that G2 was in the race to sign Robin “ropz” Kool and Aleksib “Aleksib” Virolainen, which is now broken as the former Estonian and his former teammate Finn ” karrigan, Anderson of the FaZe clan “is reunited”, although there has not been a word about the OG captain’s move to G2.

With m0NESY on board, G2 Esports will try again to refine their goals ahead of the 2022 professional season as they almost missed championships, especially the PGL Stockholm Major, last year. With the recent departure of its head coach Damien “maLeK” Marcel, the Germany-based organization has started extensive discussions with Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam for the role of head coach.

m0NESY joined Navi Junior back in January 2020 and has shown an exceptional performance in multiple tournaments and in the European Faceit Premier League that actually attracted G2 Esports to get him before a team should make his move.
