Rumor has it that Fortnite will get a “No Build” mode in the near future.
While building is one of the things that separated Fortnite from PUBG when it first launched, as the mainstream grew, there have been calls to remove it and make players just focus on shooting. Anyone who’s played Fortnite and made it into the top five will no doubt have come across Baumeister and swore that Fortnite would be more fun without all of the construction.
Well, if the reliable Fortnite leaker Hypex is to be believed, it looks like Epic Games is currently working on a “no build” mode for Fortnite. Hypex took to Twitter to share a picture of a playlist from Fortnite’s files. It’s called “No Build Duos” and features a standard Fortnite skin with a rifle overlooking the island.
Speaking of the mode, Hypex said, “Reminder that Epic is working on a ‘No Build’ LTM. I have a feeling that this LTM would be so good right now with the Spiderman Mythic & Sliding. You would just have to reduce the damage to the environment in this LTM “.
Hypex shared the “No Build” image back in late October, so it’s clear that it’s been part of the game files for a while. It’s currently not clear whether the mode is a limited time event or not, but most of the new playlists will only be available for a limited time so it can be assumed it will be the same for now.
While the mode itself may seem exciting, it’s best to keep in mind that it may not come for a while. The “No Build” mode has been known for a good part of 2021 and still hasn’t done anything with it. Hypex isn’t giving a new update on the mode or when to expect it and is simply reminding Fortnite players that it’s a work in progress.
Given how many players have asked for a no build mode, it’s exciting to think that it could be on its way soon.
