Former Vision Strikers player Lakia joins IGZIST

DRX Vision Strikers has been broadcast VALORANT Player Kim “Lakia” Jong-min to Japanese team IGZIST, the organizations revealed today.

Lakia will compete in the Asia Pacific region, where teams like Team Secret and FULL SENSE have risen to prominence on the international stage. Both teams were there VALORANT Champions that ended in December 2021.

Fans of the player will get more opportunities to see Lakia in action since he joins the starting lineup for IGZIST. Under DRX Vision Strikers, Lakia was not part of the starting lineup and often spent his time as a substitute on the sidelines.

At Champions, Lakia played a map on Icebox against Fnatic in the winner’s group stage. In the highly-anticipated game that took place on December 3rd, Fnatic prevailed with a 2-1 win. The European team qualified directly for the knockout stages. DRX Vision Strikers were later defeated by Cloud9, ending their tournament run.

IGZIST recently acquired the majority of the BlackBird Ignis squad that did not participate VALORANT since August last year. Former player Souta “popogachi” Morita withdrew from the competition while the rest of the team joined IGZIST, the organization announced on December 9, 2021.

Vision Strikers’ parent company, eDreamWork Korea, was acquired by Korean organization DRX on January 6th VALORANT Team will follow the DRX branding for the upcoming Korean VALORANT Champions Tour, which begins February 5th and ends March 27th.

IGZIST is likely to participate in Stage One: Challengers in Japan, which starts on February 15th.
