Fnatic just announced its League of Legends LEC player roster for 2022 with a 15-word Twitlonger post followed by a troll video.
In a sea of clichéd and similar squad reveal videos where players pose and talk about how well their team is going to do, this actually makes for a refreshing change.
Fnatic was pulling together his inner punk rock for a real ‘IDGAF’ announcement post on Twitter, followed by the ‘Unfortunately this tweet was unprofessional and out of line’.
The tweet, titled “Our Off-Season,” implied that Fnatic would discuss what happened to them during a tumultuous and controversial period after the 2021 World Cup when Bwipo took a break from social media and joined Team Liquid, and drama ensues between Adam and Upset in a series of updates on Twitter.
Adam also left for (supposedly) Team BDS after a difficult World Cup for Fnatic with Upset leaving the team hours before the start of the first game.
Fnatic then followed suit with a news-style video poking fun at roster reporter LEC Wooloo aka Brieuc Seeger, who recently joined Upcomer. Fnatic video maestro Pete Nguyen appears as the news presenter and interviewer for “Schaf”.
In Fnatic’s Twitlonger and Video, they confirmed their team’s rumored additions – Miracles on the top lane, Razork in the jungle, and Humanoid on the middle lane. These join the bot lane duo Upset and Hylissang, who remain in the organization.
The newcomers come to Fnatic from G2, Misfits and Mad Lions.
The changes must be approved by Riot Games, Humanoid will join from January 1, 2022.
