After Fortnite concludes Chapter 2 Season 8 on December 4th, players are already speculating on what will come in Chapter 3. We already have many leads and leaks claiming what to expect, but none are guaranteed until the season actually starts.
Here’s everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 3 so far.
As soon as the Cube Queen is destroyed and the island is “normal” again, it is unclear what Epic Games has in store next for Fortnite: Battle Royale. As the holiday season kicks off, we can expect some holiday-themed content as early as December, as well as upcoming crossovers between Fortnite and other popular franchises, including Star Wars’ Boba Fett, Spiderman, and others. However, nothing is confirmed for the future of Chapter 3.
We have a lot of leaks and concepts for what we can get in Chapter 3, Season 1, and most of them involve a brand new map. Fortnite has seen a lot of map changes since the game was released in 2017, so this is very likely to come true in Season 3.
In addition, it is confirmed that Chapter 3 is the start of Fortnite’s new Unreal Engine 5 upgrade, which will bring significant changes to the entire game and improve the game’s performance. With the update, we can see more options in terms of gameplay in Season 3.
It’s a mystery what the new theme of Chapter 3 will be, but players hope that the new engine will add new dynamic POIs to the map, including a rumored railroad system similar to the Warzone train.
Stay tuned for more updates next season as Season 2 ends on December 4th.
