ESL launches CSGO Women’s Circuit and #GGForAll program worth $ 500,000

ESL has partnered with Intel and DHL to announce a new $ 500,000 CSGO circuit.

This new competitive ecosystem aims to raise awareness, offer new opportunities and improve the representation of all female CSGO players.

The initiative is the first step in ESL Gaming’s new #GGForAll program, which follows the belief that “it’s not GG until it’s GG for everyone” and focuses on making gaming and esports a “ inclusive, respectful and almighty “make way”.

This program includes several corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental footprint and help build an inclusive gaming community free from discrimination, verbal abuse, bullying and more.

The CSGO ecosystem for women offers $ 500,000 for regional leagues, standalone events at DreamHack festivals, and ESL Cash Cups.

The new leagues include eight teams in Europe and North America and a total prize pool of $ 150,000. The top three teams from both regions will take part in the Global League Finals at DreamHack Dallas (June 3-5, 2022) and DreamHack Winter (November 25-27, 2022) together with a South American and an Asia-Pacific team from open qualifiers. part ).

In addition, there will be stand-alone events during the DreamHack Festivals, with eight teams from all four regions competing for a $ 100,000 prize pool per event, which corresponds to the ESL Challenger events that are part of the ESL Pro Tour. The first event will take place from 1-3. July 2022 at DreamHack Valencia.

Finally, from January 2022, ESL Cash Cups for women’s teams will be added to ESEA, giving teams with a full women’s list the opportunity to compete twice a month for their share of a total prize pool of $ 4,000 (evenly divided between Asian, Pacific, European, North American and South American regions).

In addition, ESL Gaming has committed to set up a women’s players’ council that will help define further details related to the CSGO ecosystem for women. It will also provide a platform for women to give feedback to ESL Gaming and other tournament organizers.

ESL will continue to work to increase the number of women broadcast talent as well as within the company.

It will introduce a talent development program that will provide selected emerging broadcast talent with the “tactics and tools to succeed” and the opportunity to fill competitions within ESL Gaming’s CSGO ecosystem. The company also opens up additional employment opportunities.
