Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties launched today. The first story DLC for the Polish zombie game was released simultaneously with another major update.

Dying Light 2 has received a story DLC titled bloody ties. The expansion can already be purchased on PC (on Steam and on Epic Games Store) and in official stores of Sony other Microsoft.

Below is the launch trailer for Dying Light 2: Bloody Tieswhich has already been viewed more than a million times.

At the same time, Techland released a new update for the second Dying Light. Patch 1.7.2 restores zombie x-ray feature known from the first installation, or rather its “first stage”. The developers want to improve it in future updates based on player feedback.

Apart from that, the patch introduces quite a few improvements – from darker nights through improvements to quests, interface and gameplay mechanics to fixed technical bugs (including reduced VRAM usage when ray tracing is enabled). The full list of changes can be found on Dying Light’s official website.

Dying Light 2 disappoints with first DLC

Unfortunately, for now it looks like the first expansion for Dying Light 2 has disappointed the fans. Admittedly, at the time of publishing this news, there are barely 67 reviews on Steam, but only 46% of those Steam users have commented positively on bloody ties.

With such a small number of reviews, it is difficult to clearly identify the reasons for such a poor reception. One gets the impression that this is largely due to alleged problems with the PC release. Some gamers claim that they were unable to access the DLCs content.

In addition, fans were not impressed by the negligible story, and on top of that not everyone liked the emphasis on arena fights in the opera house. However, it is fair to say that some players praise this form of play, although the whole thing is also very short, even for the relatively low price of the DLC.

Also the reviewers are not very kind to bloody ties. So far not many scores have appeared, but the notes 3/10, 5/10 other 3.5/5 can hardly be considered a success.

Don’t ask about the graphics – after a few hours of exposure, he can be delighted with pixelated characters from games that remember the days of the Game Boy age (if not older).
