Dr. Disrespect Announces AAA Game Studio Midnight Society

Herschel “Guy” Beahm or better known as Dr. Disrespect recently announced that he is building a new “AAA” game studio called Midnight Society, which Doc says will produce large-scale AAA games with an emphasis on first-person shooters.

For the success of his endeavor, Doc has hired several experienced developers from the game scene who have worked on large-scale AAA games such as Call Of Duty and Halo. Midnight Society Lists four co-foon his website, including Dr. Disrespect, Robert Bowling, Quinn DelHoyo, and Sumit Gupta.

Something that many don’t know about Doc is that he worked on making multiplayer maps and worked on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as a mapmaker and level designer before devoting himself entirely to content creation and streaming.

Robert Bowling is a former creative strategist and community manager for Infinity Ward. He worked on the Call Of Duty franchise and has years of experience. Robert will serve as the studio director of the Midnight Society.

Quinn DelHoyo, also a veteran, will be the studio’s creative director. Quinn previously served as the lead sandbox designer for Halo games in 343 industries. While Sumit Gupta is the founder and CEO of Boom.TV, a popular online platform for playing, tournaments and watching esports.

According to the Studio website, the first game in development will be a PvP title and involve the community from “Day Zero” of development. The landing page of the website is:

“We’re turning the table on the traditional video game development model and welcoming the Day Zero community. That means we involve our players – yes, you – from the start. That could be testing reload times and recoil patterns in a shooting range or jumping in for the very first PVP sessions. “

We don’t expect much news about game development as the studio is still in its infancy and still needs staff to start working on ideas. Don’t expect any news until mid-2022 or even late 2022.
