DignitasVIE announced on Friday that they have hired Faruk “pita” Pita as head coach for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad.
The move to DignitasVIE unites Pita with Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Adam “friberg” Friberg, whom he trained with Ninjas in pajamas in 2014 when NiP won an ESL One: Cologne Major title. In addition, Pita also worked with Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson during his coaching in the second instance for NiP.
Before joining DignitasVIE, Pita trained the Copenhagen Flames after being released from the NiP in 2020. The 30-year-old coach had a 10-month suspension from the Esports Integrity Commission in September 2020 after exploiting a coaching bug during the NiP. Additionally, Valve imposed a three major ban on using the bug in January 2021.
A new journey
When the “coaching feature bug” scandal was exposed, pita admitted to using the bug in 2018. He apologized for his “irrational behavior” and hoped that the community could “forgive” [him] Someday.”
Despite Pita’s rocky past, he has continued to work to rebuild his reputation. Since joining Copenhagen Flames, Pitas Coaching has helped the team reach great heights. After qualifying for the PGL Stockholm 2021 Major, the Flames secured victories against Astralis, BIG, Heroic, Evil Geniuses and FaZe during the New Challengers and New Legends phases of the event.
DignitasVIE said the organization has high hopes for Pita and the team. The organization tweeted: “We’re trying to make history again.”
He was behind the legendary 87-0 squad when they won it @CSGO Head. He coached many of the best Swedes.
Now he’s reunited as we strive to make history all over again.

Pitas Move notices on CPH Flames Move
The impressive performance of CPH Flames at the PGL Stockholm Major made interest in the team soaring. Rumors circulated across the community about which big organization would grab the roster. Dexter previously reported that the Danish organization is open to offers in the price range of $ 500,000 to $ 750,000.
For many, the move from Pitas to Dignitas suggests that a takeover of the CPH roster may be in the works. Time will only tell what the future holds for Pita’s former and new team.
