25 years after Diablo was released, Blizzard has revealed a handful of new stats from the series’ latest episodes.

Starting January 1st, Diablo III players will be able to return to Tristram as part of an event. This isn’t the only sign that Blizzard hasn’t forgotten the 25th anniversary of the original game’s release in the series. on Facebook, Developers published infographics with statistics from Diablo II: Risen and – in one case – Diablo iii.

Fans have already spent nearly 7.4 billion hours, or 844,181 years, playing the last two parts (only the PC edition of Diablo 3 considered). In the meantime, in the remaster of Diablo II alone, players have started a new game more than 2.1 billion times, in which they slaughtered almost 1.5 billion bosses and died more than 437 million times in the process. Fortunately, they have compensated for these “injuries” with treasure, as they did since the release of Diablo II: Risen Characters have earned a total of 43.5 trillion gold pieces.

Of course, impressive numbers (which, by the way, prove the commitment of players) are certainly a pleasant sight for the makers, but also give the fans hope for a little more. For now they are still waiting for more information about Diablo IV (and Diablo Immortal, despite the initial … ekhm, lack of enthusiasm for the mobile game) as well as the further development of D2: Risen. Perhaps Blizzard is also preparing some surprises that I hope will be a worthy celebration of the quarter century of Hack’n’Slash Diablo games (and will divert attention from Activision Blizzard’s recent troubles).
