Dark Souls 3, Cuphead and Psychonauts 2 have just been verified by Steam Deck

Celeste, Mad Max, Portal 2 and Remnant: From the Ashes are also verified for the Steam Deck.

Steam deck verified

We’re only a month away from the arrival of the first Steam decks, giving Valve and the developers just over a month to ensure their games are verified. Valve has a verification system in place to ensure that every PC game will work on their new handheld PC, and that verification process has just ticked its first boxes.

SteamDB tracks which games receive Valve’s seal of approval for playing on the deck. The list includes some great PC games like Risk of Rain 2, Hollow Knight, and Celeste, as well as some newer games like Scarlet Nexus, Psychonauts 2, and Death’s Door.

A verified stamp means the game on the deck plays great, but it’s not required to play. In fact, 80% of Steam games are at least playable on the deck, but some of them have issues like too small fonts or UI that doesn’t fit on the smaller deck screen. Games using certain anti-cheap programs such as PUBG, New World, Apex Legends, Destiny 2 and Halo Infinite will also not work on the deck as it currently does not support anti-cheat.

Steam decks should be arriving in the mail next month, so keep an eye on your mailbox.
