Comic Con Africa announces Phase 1 ticket sales for its return in 2022> NAG

Press release

After a sold out Black Friday blowout ticket sale, pop culture and gaming fans are looking forward to the return of Comic Con Africa in 2022. After two years without a live show, Comic Con Africa – Africa’s largest multi-genre pop culture, gaming and fan festival – returns September 22-25, 2022. Due to this great demand, Comic Con Africa has officially opened phase 1 of ticket sales for the event, during which between now and March 2022 fans can get hold of a general admission ticket for R 180 and a 4-day weekend pass for R 545. Since ticket prices will rise in the run-up to the show, fans who take the opportunity and book now in phase 1 will receive them at lower prices compared to other phases.

Fans who want to buy tickets can do so through the ticketing partner of Comic Con Africa. Howler, here. Those who have already bought tickets for the 2020 show will automatically receive their tickets for the Comic Con Africa 2022. “The overwhelming response from the fans for the Comic Con Africa 2022 has really shown that they are ready for a live show again. We are grateful for the fans who have already shown their enthusiasm and encourage those who missed the sold out Black Friday blowout to buy their tickets as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the price of the first phase. “Says Carla Massmann, Director of the Comic Con Africa Show. “We are very pleased that the event industry is slowly being rekindled. We missed the fans so much and can’t wait to unite. We’re coming back and we’re coming back BIG, ”adds Massmann.

The team at Comic Con Africa HQ has spent the past year and a half doing the necessary due diligence to ensure that the 2022 event is bigger, better and safer than ever – with the strictest Covid protocols and measures, which are ready to be implemented in order to give all participants and providers a feeling of security.

Comic Con Africa 2022 will continue to see activations from partners like KFC, Telekom, Luno and others. To accommodate the event’s growth (and to help comply with social distancing measures), the event has found a new home – the Johannesburg Expo Center (in Nasrec). This venue has a great capacity to safely accommodate the expected 80,000+ visitors and with its expansive indoor and outdoor spaces, it has even more growth potential for years to come. Comic Con Africa fans will also be happy to hear that the expansive space allows for the return of the very popular Food Truck Village and other themed outdoor areas, as well as some very large new additions.

While they wait for Comic Con Africa 2022, fans can continue to delve into the abundance of online content that Comic Con Africa produced during the pandemic. Follow Comic Con Africa on social media for the latest on live streams and exciting online activity.
