CD Projekt RED has rejected hot rumors about Cyberpunk 2077 Samurai Edition, Patch 1.5 and the first expansion.

A few dozen hours ago Rumors about the future of cyberpunk 2077 have popped up on the web, assuming. including renaming the game to CP2077: Samurai Edition along with the release of Patch 1.5 and the announcement of the first expansion. The information from these reports sounded pretty fantastic, and besides, their source was an anonymous account on 4chan, so we haven’t told you about it yet. But now CD Projekt RED has officially responded to this speculation, deny that they are true. We thought it was worth keeping you updated if you come across them online. Most importantly, that the studio’s PR officer disclaimer was worded not to preclude some of these reports from being true and some of them seem to be pretty obvious improvements. Rumors in a nutshell:

  • In February, CDPR is expected to be patch 1.5 and the first expansion for. to announce CP2077;
  • The update will improve the user interface, AI and item balance, add new side missions and expand many elements of the campaign.
  • With the release of the patch, the game will be subtitled Samurai edition;
  • The first expansion takes us to the Pacifica region, a site of turf war between two gangs;
  • A second expansion is being planned, but will depend on the acceptance of the first;
  • CP2077 is a mini game with multiplayer mode.

According to reports from 4chan, Patch 1.5, which includes many changes and upgrades for next-gen consoles, would act as a soft relaunch and upon its release the game would be renamed to Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition to let players know that this is a heavily updated build compared to the version that debuted in 2020.

An official stream is scheduled to take place next month, during which the developers will reveal Patch 1.5 and the first expansion, as well as the first footage from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Anime by Studio Trigger.

Patch 1.5 would include hair salons, a garage for players, improved AI, a completely redesigned item balance, a new interface and a transmog system. The update would improve and expand many other elements of the game as well. For example – Judy and Panam sent us more messages throughout the story.

It would be a large size and a place of war between the Bozos (psychopaths who dress up as clowns) and Slaughterhouse (also psychopaths but with a fascist streak) gangs. The atmosphere of the new locations is called STALKER Series. The next big DLC ​​is reportedly in the early stages of planning, but its creation will depend on how the first expansion is received.

In addition, according to these reports Cyberpunk 2077 a mini-game similar to Gwent. Players would collect characters in cyberspace and put them in turn-based battles against AI or other humans in competitive mode.
